Grilled Venison Backstrap & Broccoli Cheddah Soup

Quick Post.

Used this recipe for the backstrap and this tasty recipe from Kegs and Kitchens for the Broccoli Cheddar Soup.

I used a little Steam beer homebrew in the soup and drank a brown ale with the meal.

Finished the night with Mad Elf and Frosty the Snowman with my son.

So how did it taste? I'm lookin' for a new recipe.

Heheh...Mad Elf and Frosty eh? Sounds like a new homebrew name.

It was actually rather tasty.

I had to use apple juice instead of cider and I broiled it rather than grilling, both things that would probably improve the flavor.

Also, next time I need to have more bacon, I ran out halfway through.

Frosty Elf, perhaps?

Glad to hear you liked the soup! I'd love to try your steam beer too. I've never made one, but really enjoy the style. Right now I'm sippin' on my chocolate raspberry stout that I wrote about here:

It came out really well.

Cheers!
